1.2 GHz dual-core Samsung Galaxy Tab7 coming this Fall (September)

A rumor of a new droid tablet from Samsung - a Galaxy Tab 7 - has popped up. Supposedly a successor to the original Galaxy Tab, the new model will be based on Galaxy S II hardware except the screen. Take this with a grain of salt, but the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 should pack an 1.2GHz dual-core CPU with 1GB RAM (Exynos chipset), a 7" WSVGA IPS LCD screen, 16GB built-in memory expandable by microSD cards. There will be a USB host connectivity via the proprietary Galaxy Tab connector (and maybe HDMI out too?). These specs read just like the Galaxy S II specs - which makes sense considering that the original Galaxy Tab had specs equivalent to the original Galaxy S.

That would give the Galaxy Tab 7 a faster CPU than its bigger siblings (the Tab 8.9 and Tab 10.1 run on 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 chipsets). The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 will supposedly run Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread with TouchWiz 4.0 (no Honeycomb initially) and it will be able to make voice and video calls and send SMS, just like the Tab 8.9 (which does run Honeycomb). The reason for picking Gingerbread over Honeycomb could be that Samsung already have the software optimized for the platform from their work on the Galaxy S II. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 will be announced in the autumn (according to the rumor anyway). The original Tab was announced at the IFA event in September - and there's this year's IFA coming up in September. If the Galaxy Tab 7 is real, this seems the most likely date for its official announcement.

      Galaxy S II Maxis plan

Today confirm Galaxy S II plan

      12 months contract (RM1599). RM50 (Value Plus) + RM58 (500MB)= RM108/monthly.

Total payout to maxis. RM1599 + (RM108X12)=RM2895 (Not bad. You got the phone and 500MB service for 12 months)

You don't need too much data plan since you will be using more when WiFi available. No downloading when on 3G. 24 months too long for gadget guys :)

      note:
      • Still considering whether to wait for Galaxy Tab 8.9 (Tablet + Phone) or take this.
      • Now I'm using SGS with 4" screen..SGS2 have 4.3" screen will not change much.. but it has a lot more. Dual core  processor and 1GB RAM. mmmmm

      Galaxy Tab 8.9

After thinking a few times either to collect Galaxy S II to replace my old Galaxy S, the answer is NO. I will wait for Galaxy Tab 8.9. This will be my phone and diary/notebook.

These two factors why I like it.
      Thinner & Lighter
The GALAXY Tab 10.1 and 8.9 are the thinnest mobile tablets available. The GALAXY Tab 10.1 weighs 595 grams and 8.9 weighs 470 grams. Combining the GALAXY Tabs′ ultra-thin form factor with a lightweight design adds to the outstanding mobility of these two products.
      Super Fast
The new GALAXY Tabs will support HSPA+ network speeds of up to 21Mbps as well as Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n connectivity to deliver rapid mobile download speeds and reduce data transfer times. Also, the GALAXY Tab 10.1 and 8.9 include a 1GHz dual core application processor for a powerful multimedia and web browsing experience.

The problem is, we don't have the launch date yet and it might be high price (after looking at other honeycomb tablet). How it going to compete with iPad2 dual core with basic price RM1499??

      ASTRO Fee naik lagi..POTOOOONG

Astro fee naik lagi....so apa lagi potong la..jangan nak like fb boikot aje..kasi potong baru dia tau.. sekarang dia naik RM8 or more than 11% increment.. dulu pernah naik, kalau tak silap RM11 hinggit..

Mana tak mahal, beli siaran asik nak ekslusif aje..biar orang lain tak boleh beli dan tengok..nak tengok, astro aje ada..SEKARANG..bior dia beli mahal2..bior dia tengok sorang2...hehehe

Member aku kata potong astro tak mati pun..dulu2 kita tak tengok astro ok ja...takat nak tengok AF, Maharaja Lawak, atau program ape2 lagi entah..baik tak payaaaaaah...

Informasi boleh juga dapat melalui internet dan radio (Radio IKIM best FM91.5 atau sini dengar online )..bukan saja TV.. Internet sekarang ni pun dah macam TV...surat khabor online pun ada...Twitter lagi la laju..on the spot dapat latest news.

Internet: macam-macam ado.

Rais Yatim kata TAK SAH: http://mstar.com.my/hiburan/cerita.asp?file=/2011/6/16/mstar_hiburan/20110616114427&sec=mstar_hiburan

      Astro kata: Ada aku kesah...

Depa ni Apa pun tak bulih...apa pun tak bulih....

Kenyataan PPIM.... kata nak boikot ASTRO, tak nampak pun? bila nak start?? kita dah dapat surat ni...
      http://www.muslimconsumer.org.my/v2/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=258:sidang-media-berhubung-kenaikan-harga-langganan-pakej-astro-dan-kualiti-perkhidmatan-astro&catid=62:info-pengguna&Itemid=245

Alasan dia kelakar sikit, sebab kenaikan harga minyak, maka service/perkhidmatan lain jugak turut naik...parabola kat astro pakai petrol kot :D.. (alasan baru harga letrik naik ).. tanpa alasan ana POTOONG

nota kaki: semua ini adalah pandangan peribadi saya..korang nak potong ke idak, itu adalah pilihan anda sendiri..sendiri mau ingat..lu pikiaq la sendiri.. :)

To change your DNS settings on a router

      Routers

Every router uses a different user interface for configuring DNS server settings; we provide only a generic procedure below. For more information, please consult your router documentation.

Note: Some ISPs hard-code their DNS servers into the equipment they provide; if you are using such a device, you will not be able to configure it to use Google Public DNS. Instead, you can configure each of the computers connected to the router, as described on previous post.

To change your settings on a router:

      1. In your browser, enter the IP address to access the router's administration console.
      2. When prompted, enter the password to access network settings.
      3. Find the screen in which DNS server settings are specified.
      4. If there are IP addresses specified in the fields for the primary and seconday DNS servers, write them down for future reference.
      5. Replace those addresses with Google IP addresses: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
      6. Save and exit.
      7. Restart your browser.
      8. Test that your setup is working correctly.

      Setup Microsoft Windows DNS

      Microsoft Windows

DNS settings are specified in the TCP/IP Properties window for the selected network connection.

Example: Changing DNS server settings on Microsoft Windows 7

      1. Go the Control Panel.
      2. Click Network and Internet, then Network and Sharing Center, and click Change adapter settings.
      3. Select the connection for which you want to configure Google Public DNS. For example:
      4. To change the settings for an Ethernet connection, right-click Local Area Connection, and click Properties.
      5. To change the settings for a wireless connection, right-click Wireless Network Connection, and click Properties.
      6. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
      7. Select the Networking tab. Under This connection uses the following items, click Internet Protocol Version (TCP/IPv4), and then click Properties.
      8. Click Advanced and select the DNS tab. If there are any DNS server IP addresses listed there, write them down for future reference, and remove them from this window.
      9. Click OK.
      10. Select Use the following DNS server addresses. If there are any IP addresses listed in the Preferred DNS server or Alternate DNS server, write them down for future reference.
      11. Replace those addresses with the IP addresses of the Google DNS servers: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
      12. Restart the connection you selected in step 3.
      13. Test that your setup is working correctly; see Testing your new settings below.
      14. Repeat the procedure for additional network connections you want to change.

Website blocked? You may need this DNS configuration

        Using Google Public DNS

Configuring your network settings to use Google Public DNS

When you use Google Public DNS, you are changing your DNS "switchboard" operator from your ISP to Google Public DNS.

In most cases, the IP addresses used by your ISP's domain name servers are automatically set by your ISP via the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). To use Google Public DNS, you need to explicitly change the DNS settings in your operating system or device to use the Google Public DNS IP addresses. The procedure for changing your DNS settings varies according to operating system and version (Windows, Mac or Linux) or the device (computer, phone, or router). We give general procedures here that might not apply for your OS or device; please consult your vendor documentation for authoritative information.

Note: We recommend that only users who are proficient with configuring operating system settings make these changes.

        Important: Before you start
Before you change your DNS settings to use Google Public DNS, be sure to write down the current server addresses or settings on a piece of paper. It is very important that you keep these numbers for backup purposes, in case you need to revert to them at any time.

        Google Public DNS IP addresses

The Google Public DNS IP addresses are as follows:

            8.8.8.8
            8.8.4.4

You can use either number as your primary or secondary DNS server. You can specify both numbers, but do not specify one number as both primary and secondary.

        Changing your DNS servers settings

If you need specific instructions for your operating system/version, please consult your vendor's documentation. You may also find answers on our user group.

Many systems allow you to specify multiple DNS servers, to be contacted in a priority order. In the following instructions, we provide steps to specify only the Google Public DNS servers as the primary and secondary servers, to ensure that your setup will correctly use Google Public DNS in all cases.

Note: Depending on your network setup, you may need administrator/root privileges to change these settings.

        2. Get the files "SnsAccount.apk" and "SnsProvider.apk" from the Extreme Edition
             a. Folder location: Directory <Root>\system\app
             b. Copy these to your internal SDcard in a directory.
             c. Folder location: InternalSDcard>/Account_integrated/
        3. Reboot to recovery
        4. Use "adb shell" from your command prompt and use the following commands
                a. cd /sdcard/Account_integrated
                b. cp SnsProvider.apk /system/app
                c. cp SnsAccount.apk /system/app
        5. Reboot your phone and enjoy the integrated accounts.

        Yahoo IMAP setup

In case you need to setup your email account manually.

Please note that below mentioned are the advanced set of instructions which you will have to follow,
