Official KITKAT for Galaxy Note

Seems like there will be NO KITKAT for Galaxy Note GT-N7000 :(



Too bad. This is may be due to heavy BLOAT WARE inside Galaxy Note 1 GT-N7000.

If you want to taste it you could always try OMNI or CM

If you are looking for Galaxy Note GT-N7000 PIT file. Below are the links:

1. Q1_20110914_32GB.pit
2. Q1_20110914_16GB.pit

Partition Information Table  = PIT

Very useful when your phone seems like brick or stuck on the Samsung Logo screen.

Note:
-Make sure no KIES running. Uninstall KIES would be good
-Use ODIN to flash PIT file. Try latest ODIN or older version. Find here

Now you can change you Storage > Device Memory to 4, 6, 8 or 12 GB. Download PIT file for you GT-N7000 16GB version here. If you would like to have bigger internal storage for you application installation.

Select you desired PIT file version of Device Memory. Enjoy!

Galaxy Note 3 Launcher on Galaxy Note I

I'm still using my 1st version of Galaxy Note GT N7000 and would like to taste some of the Galaxy Note 3 apps or features. There is Galaxy Note 3 Launcher ported to Galaxy Note I. It's as fast as the original launcher and stable. Enjoy the screens.

How to install it?
1. Reboot recovery and do a Nandroid backup! It's your responsibility.
2. You need Root Explorer to do this. Make sure rename original SecLauncher2.apk to any name.
Download the SecLauncher2.apk and push it to your system/app.
If your custom ROM using preload, paste it into preload/symlink/system/app

3. Set the permissions to rw-r-r.
4. Reboot. Sit back and relax.
