How to install it?

1. You need to have root explorer
2. Extract the ZIP file and copy all files into your Phone SD Card
3. Copy all system/app files

4. Go to your phone system/app folder and remember to click on [Mount R/W]
5. Paste it into your phone system/app
6. Copy system/lib file "libdrawglfunction.so"
7. Go to your phone system/lib folder and remember to click on [Mount R/W]
8. Paste "libdrawglfunction.so"  into system/lib folder
9. REBOOT. DONE!

Google WINS, Android doesn't infringe Oracle's patents

Google released a statement stating "Today's jury verdict that Android does not infringe Oracle's patents was a victory not just for Google but the entire Android ecosystem."

Android will Now enjoy an enhanced presumption of stability and legal independence. It will also give Google the upper hand in any further attempts to reach a settlement between them and Oracle.

Summary
For me, adding new bootloader for new ICS would be better. It will replace GB bootloader. Install LPF version.

Galaxy Note N7000ZSLPF ICS 4.0.3 Performance

Most important thing is STABLE, ACCEPTABLE PERFORMANCE and complete GNOTE Features!

I'm back to my favorites home screens. 

Removed all the default widgets and home screens. Some widget run at the background to get update and effect your note performance.

Basically ICS 4.0.3 HongKong/Taiwan version you will feel smooth and stable.

Quite small number in Quadrant compare to Germany ICS. This is Power Saving Mode

Antutu benchmark.

Acceptable FREE RAM..Don't worry. ICS use the RAM for better apps loading.

 If you wonder what's language available. Here it is. Default would be Chinese.

Good battery performance. Look at the Awake. Reduce to minimum. You should look at this if you want a good battery life. If you use custom rom, look at the Awake interval as well. Frequent Awake, means you will drain your battery fast.

More battery result. Leaving my phone overnight, you will loose 3-5 % battery only.

How to ROOT N7000ZSLPF ICS 4.0.3?

Root instruction

1. Download the Files first and put in your SDCARD [CWM zip][ SU-Busybox-Installer.zip]
2. Reboot to recovery. (Home+Volume UP+Power button)
3. Choose apply update from external storage. (use vol up/down to select, power to enter)
4. Choose CWM.zip and wait until CWM recovery appear.
5. Choose install zip from sdcard or external SD(Now use touch function to select choice)
6. Choose and Install SU-Busybox-Installer.zip
7. Reboot
8. You are done and now your device is ROOTED

**Mobile ODIN you need to install separately. Get if from Android Market/Google Play

With Mobile ODIN you could load CF-ROOT kernel.

Note:
-Some user reported fail to connect to WIFI after loading CF-Root
-I do not load CF-ROOT since previous steps provide me root and CWM. That good enough

How to install N7000ZSLPF ICS 4.0.3

How to install latest Galaxy Note Firmware? If you love STOCK/clean firmware the installation process below will give you ICS 4.0.3 either you come form GB or previous ICS or custom ROM. STOCK! NO ROOT and NO CWM.

How to install it?
1. Download N7000ZSLPF_N7000OZSLPF_OZS.zip here
2. Run PC ODIN. Click on the image below to view complete PC ODIN setup.
- We have NEW bootloader. Good to load via PC ODIN. It will make your phone just like NEW!

3. Click [Start]. Sit back and Relax. DONE!

Default home screen. You could see S Note there, means you have Galaxy Note Premium Software:)

Note:
-For big jump like this, usually I did not directly restore from Google Backups. I just let it go without login to google account. Once boot successfuly the login to Google account (run Google Play).

What I can feel is, smoother and better S-Pen handling. More accuracy.

Note:
-It's full WIPE (all your apps will be removed), but all you data folders intact.
-Loose ROOT +CWM. You are STOCK! 
-Usually I will remove my external SD Card and SIM Card before flashing firmware just to make the installation process same as factory installation.
-Make sure you have WIFI ready

Galaxy Note N7000XXLPY ICS 4.0.3 Performance

After using it for two weeks, this is what I get

Battery usage after a few days ICS installation. Not soo good. The phone keep awake while sleeping...nightmare may be.... hehehhheehe :)

Set off WIFI. Reduce the awake state. No more nightmare.... hehehehe..

Better battery management and last longer. The OS is learning you phone habits and try to maximize the battery usage. See the awake state...reduce to the maximum...

I'm oon Power Saving Mode :). May be this contribute to the better battery usage as well.

Quadrant on the 1st day

3308 only while running Power Saving mode...OS reduce the performance in order to keep the battery longer. But with the power that GNote has, it still smooth running and sliding....

Antutu on the 1st day

Antutu bechmark now...mmmm..quite far reducing the performance ofd GNote...

Don't forget to FREEZE some un-used apps or services.



Overall, the performance of GNote in Power Saving Mode is GOOD and you are having better battery life.

XXLPY + CF-ROOT. Do NOT Factory Reset while on CWM. It might brick your phone. Clear Cache/Dalvik only

Galaxy Note. How to install N7000XXLPY ICS 4.0.3 (Root + CWM)?

Do not worry if you feel it's lagging initially. This is due to background acct sync. You will feel it getting smoother and smoother once the cache and dalvik build-up.

In case you wonder about the battery life....1st days of using it. Most of the time, after 2 or 3 battery cycle it would be better.

Some of you like to see the numbers as well.... this is mine..stock+root+cwm. No overclock or custom kernel.

If you think that your screen transition/animation too slow. Try this

Developer options. Force GPU and Transition to 0.5 or set no transition at all.

Good overnight battery usage

S-Note one of the premium software available, but don't really know how to use it :)
