JVS Stock + Semaphore 1.7.5bm battery

This is Semaphore 1.7.5 Big Memory battery usage

20 hours battery usage. 47% left

Most of the time use for Short phone call, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Email and Internet. Running on WiFi. Even though my 3G is on.

Use 3G while on the move only. Reading Email, News, Twitter and FB while waiting for the traffic light :)

JVS Stock + Semaphore 1.7.5 battery

So far the best battery usage and the most stable.
Check out image below.
Most of the time use my phone for reading twitter, facebook and internet. Have a few short phone call.
11 hours usage with 40% left. I'm more than happy. My requirement at least 8hours without charge.
Update battery status.

How to Install JVS stock (2.3.5) and Semaphore 1.7.0bm

After 2 weeks of using DarkyROM v10.2.2 stable version, but what I had facing is not really stable.

What happened to me:

• Force close on Samsung app
• Camera freeze
• Lock screen freeze
• Slow response. You have to touch a few time to execute button
• Phone hang (received phone call while reading email)

I had decided to to try JVS (2.3.5) stock version and Semaphore 1.7.0bm (big memory). Previously I'm using JVS Stock and DarkCore 4.0 with no problem. I think JVS stock should be stable as well..good bye nice theme..I'm going for performance and stability..What I need is just battery percentage...

How to install Semaphore 1.7.0bm?
1. Download Semaphore for JVS
2. Run ODIN
3. Select Semaphore file as PDA
4. Click Start. sit back and relax :)

Note: 

• You must be in Download mode to do this. Run ODIN before connected USB to SGS phone.
• Kill ALL KIES process from task manager

This is what you will get.

 ROOTED with Superuser installed:)

Lagfix not enabled..can't see the ext4 entry inside Voodoo app.

How to install DarkyROM JVS 2.3.5

How to install DarkyROM JVS 2.3.5

Step 1
Do all the steps from this page. This will install I9000XXJVS Stock to your phone

Step 2
Install DarkCore on top of stock I9000XXJVS. Follow this page
You should have rooted JVS and Lagfix ON. Ready to flash DarkyROM

Step 3
This will install DarkyROM JVS 2.3.5
1. Continue download DarkyROM "JVS-Base.zip"
2. Copy it into your SD Card
3. Run DarkyROM tool (You may download from Android Market or click here)

4. Flash/Install file from SDCARD. Select "JVS-Base.zip" from your SD CARD
5. System will auto restart and install selected ZIP file.
6. DONE

You should have this. 2.3.5 with DarkCore 4.0

The green icons and others:

• Themed like any other DarkyROM
• Root, busybox so on...
• Extended Power Menu
• Over scroll Glow
• Stock Lock screen
• CRT-Off lock animation

NFC Tapping. Have you seen this before?


Note: First time boot will take longer time. Please wait 5-10 minutes.

How to root I9000XXJVS - Semaphore

If you are Semaphore fan. You may root your XXJVS Android 2.3.5 using this as well

Semaphore JVS 1.7.0. CF-Root + Voodoo Sound v10 + OC/UV + BLN

• Supercurio's Voodoo Sound v10 and Voodoo Color
• Existz OC/UV
• Neldar's BLN
• Speedmod color fix

How to do that?

1. Download Semaphore 1.7.0 here
2. Download ODIN. Click here
3. Run ODIN and flash Semaphore "Semaphore_kernel_JVS_1.7.0.tar"
4. PDA = Semaphore_kernel_JVS_1.7.0.tar
5. Re-partition = un-check 
6. DONE

Note: It just like rooted using DarkCore process. Look here...

If you already rooted using DarkCore as posted earlier you may use SGS Kernel Flasher to flash Semaphore.

Superuser, APN Manager and ShootMe newly installed after rooted.

Note: APN Manager required to restore you local mobile provider APN setting. You may use it to backup your current APN setting before flashing it and save to your desktop for future use.

 APN setting gone after flashing stock 2.3.5

Restore using APN Manager. If you are from Maxi$. Download APN backup file here. Create a folder name "ApnManager" and copy the file into your SD Card

After restore, you should have all the setting above.

DarkCore 4.0_JVS, by default will set your Ext4 Lagfix active/ON

How to root I9000XXJVS (Android 2.3.5)

Don't worry. That's easy.

1. Download DarkCore. Click here. Thanks to DarkyRom Team especially Ficeto
2. Download ODIN. Click here
3. Run ODIN and flash DarkCore "DarkCore_4.0_JVS.tar"

Note: 
>Make sure all KIES process terminated/killed. Check Task Manager
>Your phone must be on download mode when flash using ODIN (Power+Volume Down+Home button)

DONE. Your I9000XXJVS rooted!

You are on DarkCore and Rooted :)

Install Superuser (get it from Android Market) and do your business as usual ....


Let's try a week of stock ROM 2.3.5 + DarkCore 4.0 :)

By default Ext4 Lagfix is active/ON.
