How to install MIUI 1.8.12

Download MIUI 1.8.12 here

What do you need before flashing this ROM?
1. You must be in the Gingerbread version (2.3)
2. Have recovery mode installed (Home+Volume UP+Power)

If you don't have this I recommend you install DarkyROM since it's Gingerbread, rooted and have CWM pre-installed.

Note: All you apps will be wipe-out

Once you have Gingerbread in your phone, rooted and CWM available. You may flash to MIUI now.
1. Copy "MIUI.us_galaxys_1.8.12_Eng_Deo_ZipA_Signed.zip" to your "/mnt/sdcard" folder
2. Reboot recovery (HOME+Volume UP+Power button)
3. Select ZIP file to install (optional to clear cache and dalvik. Do it if you like fresh)
4. Sit back and relax...

You should have this when you are done.

    sn: what's your current android version? dah gingerbread ke (2.3)? rooted? recovery mode?

    kalau dah..ikut je steps kat atas tu...copy and run zip file in the recover mode

    is it must use darky room or any rom 2.3.4 in samfirmware as long as is rooted can be done

    any rom which is gingerbread and and have access to recovery mode. using darky will be easier since it's rooted by default :).

    salam..tumpang tanya bro..follow tutorial yang install jvr then root gn semaphore..so skrg terus proceed install miui ke macamana.sori noob question..try n error..hopefully not getting brick in the process.

    kalau dah root guna semaphore..boleh terus proceed install miui. flash via recovery mode. kalau everything ok. buat factory reset dari dlm miui. baru cantek and clean.

    apa2 pun backup dulu...dlm recovery ada backup function.

    its depend on your usage..miui minimum battery usage...good for phone and browsing...cuba2 la monitor battery usage...

    bro juz wanna ask..last time follow this page to install miui rom on sgs..so now want to update..alredi went to miui under this sgs..found 2 version..which is 1.10.14 and 1.10.7..whats the difference..if want to update every week..do i need to clear cache dalvik?is it before or after i apply update from the zip file on sd card?thankx for ur time..

    just upgrade to the latest version. check the change log for detail. but dont forget to back-up before flash.

    clear dalvik and cache AFTER flash to get fresh memory.
