I9000XXJVT+Semaphore+Battery %

I would like to show you the best performance and most stable ever been on Android Galaxy S.

What should I do?

1. What you need to do is flash your Galaxy S with stock I9000XXJVT
2. Flash latest semaphore . At the end of this process you will have ROOTED ROM, Recovery Mode and performance enhancement.

3. Install ODEX theme for your rooted I9000XXJVT via Recovery (Volume UP+Home+Power).

Note: This is the longest time I used the phone without flashing....waiting for stable DarkyROM RE.

Android Best Performance

Would like to make your SGS at best performance and run smoothly? What you you should do is to monitor your running apps. Make sure it run as minimum as your can. Remove all the unwanted apps that run at the background.

I had facebook only as additional running services. All others services will only activate base on google services or social networking services.

As an example,  previously I had "Smooth Calendar" app running at the background but actually it has features where you don't really need to update it in real-time. It will look for update after an hour. This could save your battery and phone performance.

Another example is, I set my TweetDeck to update manually. Means, when only I want to read, I update the content. Most of the time to save my network data usage, I download it when I'm on WiFi.

Facebook update hourly.

You may check you email update frequency and the rest of your apps.

Semaphore JVT and DarkyROM JVT Base RE

After a few weeks, there are still no changes or update on the Semaphore and DarkyROM related to I9000XXJVT. Seems like it stable enough if install it properly and fresh.

Waiting for more leak from Samsung or are we waiting for Ice Cream Sandwich?

This week is JVT 2.3.5 stock week with no ROOT

After a few weeks of using custom rom either DarkyROM or JVT stock + semaphore + blue theme, I would like to test out stock I9000XXJVT as it is. By doing so, then I could find out what's wrong in stock rom and hope custom rom could fix it in later stage.

Base on the user review stock JVT 2.3.5 should good enough, smooth and fix the browser lag and wifi problem. I like to use stock as well, the only thing that I really need is battery percentage from stock where in iOS user could configure it, either to show it or not. In android we do not have that option. That why we are going for custom rom, root and custom theme (that's not the only reason).

I know you might ask me why not use battery widget. I hate widget that constantly updating the screen info. Why? Such widget eating battery too much just like Task Killer. They themself need to be in memory to perform the task. Battery widget that frequently asking for battery status and display on screen for sure will dry my battery like crazy.

I'm thinking of cooking my own theme. Battery percentage only for JVT. How about that :)

How to install NEW I9000XXJVT DarkyROM Base RE

1. Download XXJVT-RE-I9000.zip
2. Extract ZIP file. You should have these files

3. Run ODIN. I'm using "Odin3 v1.7.exe"
4. Select PIT and PDA. Re-Partition check. See image below

5. Set you phone to download mode (Home+Volumne Down+Power button)

6. Connect USB cable to your phone.Click [Start]. Sit back and relax.
7. DONE

Note:
-You will have minimalist android apps installed. Most of the Samsung apps not installed.
-Re-partition mean, all your previous apps will be erased
-To have clean installation. Factory reset and format USB after flash
-Task manager and superuser is not installed. Need to install it separately

Select apps to install. Available only after installing "JVS-JVT.zip". At the same time, it will removed darky theme and back to stock theme.

Task Manager installed (jobmanager.apk). If you do not install jobmanager.apk, trying to run it will restart your phone.

I'm currently testing I9000XXJVT DarkyROM RE. I will update here on the proper steps and files to download for your quick reference. You don't have to go thru all the install-bootloop-uninstall-backup-restore process.

What's new?We have honeycomb in the house...

Anyway. It's still in BETA. Ficeto working very hard to make it usable :)

How to install I9000XXJVT Bluetheme and battery %?

1. Simple. Download this Blue Theme. Copy to your SD card
2. Boot recovery (Home + Volume UP + Power button)
3. Select ZIP file to install
4. Sit back and relax. DONE!

Note: If you like green. Download here...

Now your SGS should have all the blue theme, AOSP lock screen, extended power menu and battery percentage.

What I really need is the battery percentage only. Blue and over-glow is already there in the stock.
